Résiduelle category (1 to 5 dwellings), per 100 $ of value. The City's table gives Foncière générale 0,7412 + Dette ancienne ville (0,0000 Greenfield Park and LeMoyne; 0,0001 Saint-Hubert; 0,0004 Vieux-Longueuil) = Total 0,7412 / 0,7412 / 0,7413 / 0,7416; headline = Vieux-Longueuil (former city of Longueuil). Buildings with six dwellings or more pay 0,7986 foncière générale (total 0,7991 in Vieux-Longueuil). Since 2024 the general fund, infrastructure and agglomeration quote-part are grouped into a single taxe foncière générale. Rates apply to the adjusted value (valeur ajustée): the change in value from the 2025-2026-2027 roll is phased in over three years (2/3 of the change applied in 2026). Flat charges also appear on the bill: tarification pour la mobilité 17 $ per assessment unit with a building (residential), 75 $ per pool. The City's budget page cites an average 'taux de taxation' of 0,7414 for 2026 (taking sector costs into account) and 3 298 $ for the average single-family house (base d'imposition 444 780 $). School tax is a province-wide rate set by the Government of Québec (same in every centre de services scolaire; the CSS Marie-Victorin serves Brossard, Longueuil and Saint-Lambert). It applies per 100 $ of 'évaluation uniformisée ajustée' (not the municipal roll value), after an exemption on the first 25 000 $, and covers the school year July 1 – June 30. CSS Marie-Victorin: the 2026-2027 school tax bill was to be mailed around July 1, 2026; one payment due August 5, 2026 if under 300 $, otherwise two equal instalments due August 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026.

Longueuil compared with other Quebec cities

Compare two cities

Longueuil's total residential rate of 0.8206% is above the 0.7228% average of the 35 Quebec municipalities we cover. A lower rate does not always mean a lower bill: tax = assessed value × rate, so cities with high home values often have lower rates.
