Headline = taxe foncière générale, catégorie résiduelle, 1 logement (incl. condo) and 2 à 5 logements: 0,6361 $ per 100 $ (also the taux de base). Residential 6 à 19, 20 à 99 and 100+ logements: 0,7268 $. 2026 is the first year of the 2026-2027-2028 assessment roll (market conditions as of 1 July 2024), so 2026 rates are not directly comparable with 2025. City page (s6) lists 2026 flat charges: Eau 264 $, Assainissement 189 $, Déchets 208 $, and a sector tax (aqueduct and sewer) of 0,04869 $ per 100 $ for properties in the served sector. By-law RV3579 (2026) contains no SQAE sewer-agreement special property taxes (2022-2025 by-laws levied them only in the Charny, Saint-Nicolas and Saint-Rédempteur sectors). The sector water/sewer tax is not levied city-wide and is not included. Water, wastewater and garbage are flat per-dwelling compensations, not value-based. School tax: single province-wide rate under the Loi visant l’instauration d’un taux unique de taxation scolaire (s15, s21); billed separately by the Centre de services scolaire des Navigateurs (CSSDN) for the school year 1 July–30 June. It is applied per 100 $ of 'évaluation uniformisée' (or adjusted/étalée value), and the first 25 000 $ of value of taxable property is exempt (s14). The rate document cited (s16–s20) is the CSS de la Capitale publication of the same province-wide rate.

Rates as published for the residential class. Bills can also include fixed charges, local improvement levies and utility fees that are not based on assessed value.

Compare two cities

Lévis's total residential rate of 0.7151% is below the 0.7228% average of the 35 Quebec municipalities we cover. A lower rate does not always mean a lower bill: tax = assessed value × rate, so cities with high home values often have lower rates.
