West Vancouver compared with other British Columbia cities

Compare two cities

West Vancouver's total residential rate of 0.3239% is below the 0.4794% average of the 28 British Columbia municipalities we cover. A lower rate does not always mean a lower bill: tax = assessed value × rate, so cities with high home values often have lower rates.

  • Home Owner Grant

Reduces property taxes on a principal residence. The Province's 2026 grant threshold is $2,075,000; above it the grant is reduced by $5 for each $1,000 of assessed value over $2,075,000. The Province states that for taxes deferred for 2026 and later, compound interest is charged. The District advises owners on its pre-authorized plan to cancel withdrawals if they plan to defer. Run by Province of British Columbia.
