City 2026-2027 Financial Plan (approved March 31, 2026): '2026/2027 Property Tax Rates per $100 of Assessed Value (No Increase)': Non-Commercial (Residential) $0.67, Out of Province Ownership $1.33. Province: provincial rate $1.70 per $100 on non-commercial property and resident provincial tax credit $0.70 per $100 from January 1, 2026 (net $1.00 for residents, unchanged). The Province bills and collects both portions on one Statement of Account. PEI residents (sole owner resident 183+ consecutive days in the year, or 50%+ of co-owners) receive a provincial tax credit of $0.70 per $100 of taxable assessment on non-commercial property, so the headline total is left null: it depends on residency. Owner-occupied residential properties are taxed on a capped taxable value (increase limited to CPI or 5%, whichever is lower).
